The only negative tonight is that Kpakio will miss the next round because of 2 yellow cards picked up in the competition.
Good view of Fish’s goal and the subsequent limbs!

Well done City. Terrific performance in front of TV cameras.
Hopefully will set us up for rest of season.
Colwill R is King.
Sky Highlights:
Yeah, that’s backfired… One win away from a quarter final appearance (when’s the last time that’s happened for Wrexham? The 90s?) with a likely “Hollywood” tie, home against a “rival” they’ve not played in decades, otherwise bang average in the league (going by the table)… think it would’ve been a game to target and get a bit of positivity injected into the season.
I thought Ashford had his best game for a while
They've spent a lot of money and signed some dross. Coady looks completely shot and he cost 2m.
They are paying Jay Rodriguez a fortune to be a netflix star.
Didn't that strike partnership cost around 10m ??
Kieffer doing his hair for the documentary all the time laughing and joking with our players after.
Wasn't Lewis O'brien a big money signing.? He was outclassed by our midfield. Matty James and Windass 2 regulars looked like old legs 2nd half.
As good as we were they were hopeless.
Welcome to Wrexham, we play the capital, will only get two minutes now and not a whole episode.
They were poor but they hardly played a team of kids, or players who are not getting anywhere near their league squad and league game time. The only outfield player who played last night whos not getting in the league squad was Oliver Rathbone. The GK was also the back up keeper.
Apart from that the starting line up was pretty much players who have featured regularly in the league this season. Then they bring on Kieffer, Windass and Matty James, 3 starters from last Saturday, on at half time. To put it into context, they may have rotated the front two but the front two that played the first half - Broadhead and Smith - cost north of 10m.
We were on it from minute 1, they couldnt get near us, and id rather give our lads the credit they deserve rather than play it down by talking down Wrexhams starting line-up. They may have made 7 changes to their starting line-up from last Saturday, we made 5 ourselves.
It's weird and shows the arrogance of some managers these days. Parkinson was playing for a place in the last eight of the League Cup against a League One side and he selects three players who haven't started a single league game this season and three more who have only started two each. Who does he think Wrexham are all of a sudden?
He got exactly what he deserved and BBM got exactly what he deserved for taking the competition seriously from day one. As I've said in another thread, all credit to him and it's a pity previous City managers haven't done likewise.
Something else to note, last night was the 4th time this season we've followed up a defeat (in a all comps) with a win. Very encouraging signs regarding the attitude and confidence of this squad, BBM and the rest of the coaching staff should take huge credit for that. Would be very easy for a young squad to slump following a defeat.
Agreed. It was a pivotal time in the match and the Wrexham player looked like he was gonna burst through. A mature foul like you say.
I didn’t mention Fish or Chambers in my previous post, who were also fantastic last night.
Chambers could do nothing for the goal, could Trott have claimed it? Hes been so good this season it feels unfair asking it.
After the deflection the only way we might have prevented the goal is if Trot was able to punch the ball clear but I'm not sure if he had enough time to react to do that.
When's the draw?
