Yousef Salech on scoring his goal at Wrexham and helping Cardiff into the next round of the Carabao Cup.
"As a striker when you see the rebound come to you it's like Christmas Day. It's a present in front of you that you just need to grab.
"It means a lot. To have a cup run is nice for the fans and for the players as well.
"We started well and it was nice to get a goal while we were on top.
"Brian and his staff have looked at Wrexham and analysed how we expect them to play and it was as we expected. The channel runs, the long balls and that we would have time in the last line and that he wanted us to commit to them, and dribble and cause them trouble."
The Bluebirds forward was quizzed on whether the regular worldwide coverage our opponents receive added any additional incentive, and was quick to confirm that all inspiration comes from within our own squad itself.
"I don't need motivation from them and for their reasons. We wanted to get to the last eight and we wanted to win a football game, just like every game.
"I think they're looking for a rival or a derby to compare themselves to. I don't see them like that right now.
"We're focussed on ourselves and improving."
Will Fish stepped up to grab the winning goal on Tuesday evening with his first strike of the campaign, and with a volley any striker would be proud of.
Yousef concluded: "It was a crucial goal and very important as we didn't play as good in that period of time after they scored.
"The game could have went either way and it was amazing to get that goal for Fishy, and scoring in front of our fans as well.
"Our fans were amazing. It felt like a home game again."
