Not the end of the world. We're in the quarter finals of another tournament as a League One team, I'll take a first round FA Cup exit to play Chelsea at home. That's at least one less game to play in a stacked November/December period.
Oh well. Two cup runs in one season would be greedy anyway.
With Huddersfield also being knocked out you'd have to presume our postponed game against them will now be played on the 6th of December the weekend of the second round.
honestly couldn't care less about going out, this squad would be spread so thinly trying to battle on all fronts, let's concentrate on getting out of this league, who wants to play Arsenal's U21's next season..
🙄
Never mind. Hopefully see a Wrexham performance next week against Blackpool rather than this Peterborough one.
I didn't want us to equalise as I thought we could do without another fixture. Hadn't realised it would've gone to extra time and pelanties today 🙄
Not overly bothered by this loss.
In the same week - our best League Cup run since we reached the final and our worst FA Cup "run" since we reached the final.
Didn't fancy a summer trip to Wembley anyway.
Anybody know the way we played ?
Disappointes but hardly devastated
Five of the top six in League 1 lost in the cup today.
Leaders Stockport were the only winners. Wimbledon went out to non league Gateshead. Bradford, Lincoln and Stevenage knocked out by League 2 oppostion.
Cardiff lost to the side on the bottom of League 1
Glad we are out.
What kind of twisted fools want to see their club win a cup match and have to potentially see them play another match. Particularly when we already completed it in 1927.
The last 3 away games the team travelled over a thousand miles which took over 20 hours, when you factor in game time it's been a tough week.
The first time ever i did not care if we lost
