Yeah, a really great guy. The island I was joking about is Barry Island, and the dildo is a stick of rock. Welsh humour isn't very good, officer!

I get it, what a leader of men, how he didn’t get the Nobel peace price is beyond me, probably something to do with them pesky democrats. No doubt he will get it next time around. A hero to many……

You're so right. They hit the Treadmill, walking pace, and then have a 30 minute conversation while i'm getting all sweaty and breathing heavily, and that's before i've got on the Treadmill....

It's definitely a new thing as it never used to be like this.

However, on my outward journey and changing planes here in Miami, getting through passport control and security took so very long (and due to the current stand-off in the States) that she loads of people were missing their connecting flights, both domestic and international - and
I only made it by the skin of my teeth.

Fortunately, I don’t bother much with SM, I have a Facebook account I barely use bar to sell stuff on marketplace, I’m not even sure when I last posted something to be honest. I don’t remember putting that on my last ESTA in 2022 either? Even weirder, on scanning my passport for the ESTA form it somehow spelt my name wrong and it didn’t make sense, but by the time I noticed it was too late and nothing came of it…. even more twitchy in customs than usual. Anyway, here’s to Trump getting a third term just because he’s such a leader

I don't remember having to do that on an ESTA. We went to the USA twice in the past 15 months (so only the one ESTA as they last 2 years i think) but sure there was no section for social media accounts. I certainly didn't record any.

However both times there was a lot of tension at immigration with some people (based on nationality or racial profiling) taken from the desk for 'interviews'. Various news stories were prominent at the saying social media posts might be searched on entry.

Nothing happened to us - both respectable older UK citizens - but my phone had fewer apps on than normal!

I can assure you that it is included in the Esta application at present as I returned on Friday after merely changing planes in Miami.
It is supposedly an optional section to complete but the fact that it is included does raise some concerns in the present climate in the US.
By the way, due to the staffing problems at the airport caused by you know what, there were very long queues of people unable to have their passports checked and to clear security in time for them to catch their flight's. I made mine by the skin of my teeth but hundreds around me where not so fortunate.

In September last year we landed in New York JFK with about 4.5 hours to connect to a flight to Washington. The queues to clear Immigration (Passport Control) were unreal. Made worse by having to watch a 2 minute video by Kristi Noem on a continual loop on every screen in the airport. We made the flight with 7 minutes to spare! That was our first trip to the USA. We went again in May this year connecting at Atlanta for Charlestown. Again longish queues but nothing like as bad as the first time. Both times I was 'missing' a few apps on my phone!

Whichever side gets the Epstein files released

    Re: The Donald Trump thread

The ideal scenario for me is that the vote to release gets passed by Congress (which I think it will), and then gets passed by the Senate (possibly), and then it sits on Trump's desk for his sign off. Will he or won't he?

Will be very interesting to see what's in these files. Both parties at some point have dithered about the releases and then called for them. I suspect there will be something for everyone in them, politically. And that's all they want. They all just want to make political capital out of it.

It's 5D chess innit, he's got the Dems demanding the release of the files!
