    1927 FA Cup Final

    Never seen this before, a 35 minute silent film on the game.



    Most of the views aren’t great, but I never thought I’d get to see so much of what has to be the club’s greatest day.

    Thanks for that, really interesting.

    the standard of football on display reminded me more of a games lesson in school played on a boggy pitch than the pinnacle of football played on a perfectly manicured Wembley, so it shows how much the game has developed. I suppose the heavy ball probably has a big impact as well though.

    Thanks for that, really enjoyed it.

    I see that City finished 14th that season and Arsenal 11th so not that much between them. Newcastle were champions

    Living and working in 1927 would have had an impact on the standard of football back then. I still think that the best players then would still be the best players now. You work to what you have.
