I have no interest in cricket unless all day drinking on the pretence of watching Hills Plymouth in my younger days counts but out of curiosity I've turned on the Ashes to see what this day/night, pink ball thing is about.
First thing to strike me was hearing the 'barmy army' singing 'Jerusalem' which immediately has me marking them down as bigger nonce's than I first thought and wanting Austrailia to smash England.

Apart from Stark this is a fairly ordinary Aussie side yet by playing orthodox Test cricket, valuing their wickets and being relentlessly accurate with the ball they have proved far too good for the Bazballers who’ve become a laughing stock not just in Australia but England too.
McCullum needs to move on at the end of the series and the players need to re-learn the principles of Test cricket that the Aussies adhere to so well.

The team just cannot apply themselves properly to play test cricket, classic example is Ducket. He needs to show something special the rest of this match as his batting and catching have been midweek league stuff.
The only guy I feel for is Jofra Archer though even he bowled erratically with far too many short balls just being flicked over the wicket keeper.
Understandable I suppose though after seeing how many times he was let down by his teammates who looked like they'd been on the piss all week. They just did not want to be out there wilting in the sunshine.

Pathetic is the word. Thank goodness for the city today because I was winding myself up watching the 5th day of this shambles of a series. Utter arrogance from captain and coach. The disparaging remarks about Neser and Boland ignore the fact that as second choice they are considerably better than England 's current first choice options - Wood, Atkinson and Carse. Neser, especially, could be considered the best fast bowler to play for Glamorgan in recent times - and he can bat too.
