Pretty good going!
How many of them featured in a league game?
Five.
Turner started 3 games (Peterborough and Exeter at home, Lincoln away).
Mafico started against Rotherham but only lasted 36 minutes before being subbed.
Tankiewicz got 3 minutes against Northampton.
Williams got 20 minutes at Mansfield.
Moreno got 2 minutes at Mansfield.
Let’s be honest, appearances against Arsenal’s under-21’s shouldn’t really count.
Thanks, I thought it might have been more than 5 but then I noticed players like Kpakio and Lawlor were not included in the list.
Only 20 minutes, but I thought looked very comfortable on Saturday. He's a good dap, very athletic and I was impressed with how strongly he went in on a 50/50. Kpakio and he will be excellent back up to Ng or Ng's replacement

No problem, it is a bit confusing.
Funnily enough, I've only ever seen one u-19 international and Isaak Davies came on in that. It was against Russia at Leckwith in 2019. There were a few other City lads involved (Sam Bowen, Keenan Patten, Harry Pinchard and Dan Griffiths) in a 2-2 draw.
If you, TOBW or anyone else wants a guess at which player (non City) scored both the Wales goals that day then fire away.
Neco Williams scored a couple of penalties on the day we appointed Neil Harris as manager I believe. Wales won that mini tournament against three countries I was going to say we’re behind the old Iron Curtain, but I’m now thinking one of them may have been Turkey (who we beat 1-0 or 2:1) I can remember we beat Poland 3-0 at Rodney Parade with Patten getting one of the goals.
It’s a mystery to me how those three midfielders played so few first team games for us. It appears that Bowen is without a club currently after his short term deal with Gateshead ran out, Patten is still with Newport after he got a really bad injury which caused him to miss most of last season shortly after joining them and Pinchard is at Dorking Wanderers, a team that produces half hour videos of all of their games,so I’ve watched quite a few of his recent appearances!
Can I ask, how many times have you’ve seen Pinchard and Patten play? As for Bowen, I should think it would be hard for someone to enjoy a successful football career while his father has been going through what he has in the last few years, but then I suppose we’re all different aren’t we.
Never. From what I can gather, Pinchard has never played above non-league level, while Patten has one League Two start at Newport to his credit.
You said it's a mystery to you how Pinchard, Patten and Bowen played so few first team games for Cardiff City. Considering the club was in the Championship while they were here, and considering where they've ended up after being released, I think the answer's glaringly obvious.
Yet they were all included in the midfield for a successful Welsh under 19 (they were at an age where they well up the youth development ladder) team - I think that, like many others who were at our Acedemy between through the 2010s, they must be wishing that attitudes at the club were the same than as they are now.
I know what you’re saying, but a few players of similar ages did make it into the first team at around the same time. Some are still playing at a decent level, some aren’t, but I don’t think there are too many players City have let go in recent times who have gone on to prove the club wrong.
A couple of the latest batch have been able to make a mark in League One this season. It remains to be seen how they’ll do in the Championship, or if those who have been out on loan will go on to make the grade. I’m hopeful in a couple of cases, but they won’t all thrive at Championship level or above, that’s for sure.
U21s pre-season friendly away at Bath City, 14th July 7.45.
Jac Thomas, Noah Williams & Rob Tankiewicz called up for Wales u19s
Not much City representation there. I don't think that's the Euros squad but I'd be surprised if there are any additions now (unless Kpakio gets brought in). Two warm-up games coming up in the next few days.
Nice to see Tankiewicz make it but Moreno and Donczew were also being mentioned. Jake Davies and Mannie Barton not there either having been involved in the last squad.
