Thread: Giles RIP.

    Giles RIP.

Used to love watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, one of the reasons being the performance of Anthony Head as Rupert Giles, Buffy’s watcher. Sad to see that he’s passed away at the age of 72.

    RIP

Watching him the other night in ‘Motherland’, brilliant comedy of which ‘Amandaland’ is a spin off. It’s 4 or 5 years old but, even though it was unmistakenly him, he’d aged considerably from his ‘Mr Smootharse’ days. Fine, versatile actor.

He was brilliant in Ted Lasso as the ex football club owner.

Bob being a Buffy fan wasn't on my bingo card for today but there you go.

He was excellent as King Arthur's father Uther Pendragon in the TV series Merlin.

I'll confess that I didn't know who he was - until I read your post.

I chanced on the second ever episode while flicking through the channels one night and was hooked from that moment.
