David Sullivan steps down as co-chair of West Ham

Ahead of a Sunday newspaper exposé by the looks of it

Sullivan said: “I have recently become aware that factually incorrect and entirely false, decades-old allegations concerning my personal life are due to be broadcast and published.

“The false allegations levelled against me have been sensationalised by the media. After a lifetime spent building businesses in the adult industry in which I have met thousands of women, it is sadly inevitable that a small number of improper conduct claims are being made against me. I categorically deny these claims.

“This has been an incredibly painful decision to make, but it is one made out of love, respect, and responsibility toward a football club and a fanbase that deserve absolute unity and focus moving forward. I am stepping down to apply my full energy and attention on fighting these false allegations.”

It is understood none of the allegations relate to West Ham. Club confirms that CEO Karim Virani, “reporting into the current Board of Directors, will continue to be responsible for leading the Club’s day-to-day operations”

Don't know if it's public knowledge but I read around April time when Brady left there was something about Sullivan coming out.

May have been on their messageboard or social media.

    Before Sam Hamman.

Clive Sullivan, David's brother, tried to take over.

David was at Birmingham at the time and was blocked from being involved at two clubs. Clive was the front to try to get around the two club issue.

But it ended up being Hammam who came in.

Someone will be able to tell the story more accurately I'm sure.

that's how I remember it, did Clive walk across the pitch with some massive scarf or something, put a deposit down and then Kumar slightly shift the goal posts on the deal

If my memory is correct, I believe Clive is the city fan and always wanted to own us, he name was floating about maybe 10 years ago with some takeover talk from VT

It is. But you get busted before you go to court. And I find it very hard to believe that his behaviour in the '80s and 90's will face up to the scrutiny of the 2020s. You don't stand down form your job to defend baseless charges.

    Whose behaviour does?

He's 77 and a billionaire. I'd imagine he would be stepping down soon enough.

2.7% of reported rape cases result in a conviction. So, no. In some cases, you're guilty because you're a piece of shit and you definitely did it. See Mason Greenwood.

Don’t think you’d be any good on a jury. You ever seen a film called 12 angry men ?

Is that a film about the 74-75 Leeds United Starting XI (with sub)?

I think if 2.7% reported cases of rape get convictions, we might have a problem? Dont you?

Either you think that 97.3% of rapists are getting away with it, or 97.3% of victims are liars.

People like Sullivan and Brand deserve whatever comes to them

It isn't. I don't care how old and frail they are. If guilty they should receive a normal prison sentence

Reading this it would be astonishing if the allegations aren't true:
