There's something, isn't it? The UK and America have a strong right wing media presence that have attacked socialism for years. Socialist policies are generally more appealing to the general public as most blind policy tests keep proving, yet if you tell some people that they are socialist policies, they then think they're dreadful.
In both America and the UK, socialist politicians are the ones crucified by the media. The right wing media is run by those with lots of money. Isn't it odd that, across lots of other countries where the media isn't necessarily run by right wing billionaires, that socialism and centre left politics are much more common?
So what's the point in labels like left or right in that country? That post about the fascination with Donald Trump from the left being baffling misses the point completely - there is no way I would have voted for that man given the opportunity even if he had been standing on a left wing ticket. The nearest comparison in this country I can think of is Ken Livingstone in that party politics would play np part in my decision about whether to vote for him or not.
It shows how childishly partisan politics has become.
Social media is being used as a tool to brainwash people into this.
There is no way the phrase "the lefts obsession with Donald Trump" comes into someone's head without reading it from some disingenuous dick head posing as an intellectual.
Mt obsession with Trump is because I genuinley think he's a dangerous man, very much the thin end of the wedge of facism. You only have to look at the words and phrases he uses to see this, look at the people he has on his side and the way they whip his base up.
Biden isn't great by any means but for the sake of normal people getting rid of Trump is massive.
