Yes, I'm 100% sure that back in April 2023 there were very few Championship clubs who could afford to pay £3 million-plus for a defender and none of those who could wanted to buy Perry Ng.

You know he's still here, right? Or do you reckon he was maybe sold to another Championship club last summer for £3 million-plus, loaned back to City on the quiet, and all that business about him allegedly signing a new contract in August was staged by the media department for dramatic purposes?
