Win rate is a strange statistic. As you say, 40+% is decent. PPG would a much better indicator. But even then, one bad season (like being relegated from the PL - or a couple of seasons struggling in the PL) can screw that up.

Alan Cork has a win rate of nearly 49% and yet he wasn't very good! Slade had a win rate of 39.2% which is close to Warnock, Mackay, Jones etc.

Oh I agree but Lewj brought it up and seems to be implying we should never had appointed Harris in the first place because his won ration was ONLY 41.6% at Millwall. He got Millwall promoted, got us to play-offs in his first season. Im sure there will be other teams taking a punt on him, he wont be out of work long. It didnt happen for him this season but hey ho such is life. At least it gives you lot the chance to sharpen your knives ready for the next manager.

Win rate is only part of the story and irritates me as a result.

I, for one, am not disagreeing:
"Interesting stats. The draws (or not losing) must make the big difference then.
NH comes to about 1.45 points/game for CCFC compared to MM at 1.62. MM's must have been pretty good in the Championship"
