Interestingly there are 300 Food Banks in 29 European countries they appear to have a dual purpose of preventing food waste and reducing food insecurity for those in need .

They have been around for some time and are very purposeful , first seen in 60 's in the USA , Europe saw them developing from the 80's , think there about 20 years old in the UK

What’s all of that got to do with with the issue this thread is about, unless, of course, you’re again adding a bit of your usual “balance” by pointing out that foodbanks were around in the UK under the last Labour Government?
