Actually, the word "frit" is in common usage where I live and always has been. I remember years ago an old lady told me she was frit about some illness and I didn't know what she was talking about.

I met er indoors 40 years ago, she was using frit then, although I'd not heard it in Cardiff before that, she still uses the word
