As far as I know there are multiple ways of posting a provision both with and without actually having the money. Just because there’s a provision doesn’t mean the money is physically available.

It means there is an accrual in the accounts ( liability on the balance sheet) but it doesn’t mean we have the cash to pay it.Originally Posted by Des Parrot
