We still didn't create much in the final third and we didn't defend well on the free kick that led to the penalty, but the goal was forced by us playing a high line and not letting them set themselves. Opportunities will come our way if we are prepared to play that way and take those risks.
Aside from the penalty, they barely had a sniff the other night. We are tantalisingly close to being a good side at this level. Just need to be a bit more confident in attack without losing the defensive solidity (and tightening up at free kicks at both ends of the pitch). Hopefully the attack should improve as the players get to know each other better, they will start to know where each others runs will be and be able to attack with more confidence.

Would like to see us bring in a set piece specialist as well

They had arguably the best 2 chances. The one Allsop saved with his trailing leg and the one Dack mis controlled.

They also had a stonewall penalty turned down when Kipre cleaned out Gallagher and maybe another when Ng tripped the same player.

We need to start scoring. We were by far the better side but we could easily have thrown the game away
