What a time to become impotent

We've failed to score in 3 of our last 4 games, something we haven't managed since the last days of Erol Bulut. Even when things weren't so good in November and December we weren't that bad in front of goal.

It's also been 4 games since we last scored the opening goal in a game, again not seen since we conceded the opening goal in 16 of Bulut's last 18 fixtures.

Defensively, despite the lack of clean sheets, we've conceded 3 or more in just 1 league game since we lost at Oxford and, while we know we have defensive deficiencies, we were just about able to score enough to draw games so we weren't beaten too often.

Now we find ourselves 2nd bottom, knowing we are likely to concede goals, often silly goals because of errors, and we've lost any spark we might have had flickering dimly at the other end.

There was one time today we had the ball just outside their box in a fairly promising position. We passed it round then eventually back to our keeper and it then ended with a shef u throw in in our half.

We didn't get near to even attempting a cross or shot. Beyond embarrassing.
