I know it's the end of June and yet I feel we are missing something in terms of happenings which bring hope of better things to come.

The Bale saga injected some life and enthusiasm but that's now faded.

A clear out of players and goodbyes to a few who will be missed.

Admittedly the new manager brings some life and energy and new ideas but otherwise we've a currently smaller squad in a lower league.
