There's more point to a circle than having a match thread for a behind closed doors pre season friendly.

Our defence looks weak and we’re completely out of ideas in attack.

Game held up while fans are being instructed to stand with their backs to the pitch.

The only benefit of a BCD game (that I can think of) is the lower cost. Is there anything else? Surely they could tell us what's happening or what the team is; there's not even a twitter feed. Is the game the entertainment for a super rich Arab on a stag do?

Cambridge United kicked-off their mini pre-season camp in South Wales on Thursday morning, braving the rain during a training session at the Football Association of Wales headquarters...

The U’s will take on Cardiff City in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday, before heading back to Cambridge over the weekend.

So it's being played in South Wales. On one of the pitches at The Vale maybe?

It's either in the building or on the grass.

And yet the behind closed doors game at QPR next week is being streamed.

We are in some parallel universe at the moment.

The official website has this as latest news just now:

They’ve come here for training for the past two years, so it was always likely to be a “Home” game - reckon the Vale has to be favourite when it comes to a venue.

Thank the footballing gods that Bale at least made public some interest in a takeover. Between no signings and behind closed doors friendly matches this pre season would otherwise have contributed zero to getting any enthusiasm going for the new season.

Maybe we are just keeping our sexy footballing masterclass a secret for a couple more weeks.

I don't know if it's my age, but I thought that I read somewhere that it's taking place in Newport.

Is this the first time we’ve never had a home friendly?
