The National Socialists .......had nothing to do with Socialism and everything to do with Fascism

And not a socialist

The comparisons are seriously preposterous and it's incredible some of you keep making them. It's a toughening up of asylum laws to deal with the system not working and being in near complete breakdown. That doesn't mean the Nazis are coming to power.
And it's the same people who rightly mock others on here for being conspiracy theorists who pump this stuff out.
The Majority who cross the channel are Afghans, who cooperated with our flunked invasion and who were then sold down the river when we walked out in defeat, telling the Taliban to be good boys now! And yet, under this new Migration bill, those same people who went through an invasion and occupation from the West, and who were sold down the river, have no right to put their case over in order to seek sanctuary from the shit show we helped create. Shame on Sunak, is this the type of country we want to live in? Not allowing people the right to even ask for a chance to be considered? Disgraceful stuff, Sunaks 93rd minute punt up field. This could be illegal as well, under international law.

Didn't expect to have this little debate today, but it is an interesting angle on how language can matter.
North of Ireland / Northern Ireland etc is a classic and contemporary example in that respect
Feck off out of here , used interchangeably my arse

Some people will see Welsh Nationalists display the Welsh flag, it doesn't mean thats a true reflection of the flags meaning.
Anyway, I don't think there is too much more to add!
Yes I would stop digging

It's a toughening up of the asylum system ?
It's an attempt to stop getting absolutely battered at the next election
They don't care about the real issues

Shitloads of votes in them UKips. If the best defense you have left after a decade and a bit in power is protecting your right flank whilst the rest of the country looks on wondering why they aren't doing relevant things that matter to most people every day. Instead they think the pathway to remain in power is pandering to a few people shit scared that they will bump into an asylum seeker on the way to the bookies.
The Last Chance Saloon looks a long way away from where Sunak and the gang have hitched their horses.

Exactly!
Fuel bills are 300% more than a year ago. We are paying 30% more for diesel. People are worried they won’t see a doctor if they need one. Food shopping is 20% higher. Kids can’t afford accommodation. This country is an international joke stumbling into war. Let’s focus on small boats.

Well at least if any of the migrants are single and gay looking for love they’re able to claim this new benefit 🫣👍

Ah, you started this thread talking about something called the Knobseeker's Allowance. What is it, why is it agitating you and how do asylum seekers claim it?

Thing is, them and their mates will do one hell of a job at stirring it in the run up to the next election, there's going to be some filthy racist mantra dished out in the media and the Tories will do all they can to magnify it, it's their only hope. Talk about playing the race card, they love that saying, and a certain poster on here as well, the Tories are kings at doing it.

It only works if enough people who make a difference care enough about a single issue to change their vote. Despite their best intentions, in the last few years, fewer and fewer voters find immigration an issue worth making Tory their voting home. Most find other things more important and those that do wonder why they should trust a party that has had 12 years to sort it.

It's an interesting grand theory, and I do respect that different people think different things, but why do you think that people who are concerned are 'stirred up' by things, which presumably you are immune to with your concerns?
There are legit questions about the legality, practicalities of removal, moral position etc, but surely you can accept that people are allowed to be unhappy about the cost of this, the queue jumping element, the organised crime, the perceived injustice of housing people when we have homeless, the impact on generally poorer communities, the impact of closed hotels etc?
I mean, even if you don't support the govts policy (I do, but it's fair if you don't), surely you can recognise people have legitimate concerns?

You see James, all those things you mentioned, They hurt the poor and most vulnerable before anyone else, but it seems to me that you (like Sunak wants us to) are, in part, blaming Migrants for the struggles of the poorest in society. It's Tory Bingo and i've just called 'House'

I think you need a 180 view change. Most people aren't 'blaming migrants' they want the issue sorted. It's a problem, it needs sorting. I think you categorise the alternative opinion to yours as people 'blaming someone' but they probably aren't..they just see the issues I mentioned and want them sorted.

Re: While our eyes are on dingy crisis Rishi slips bill through the back door
If the tory mob were tackling the NHS , poor housing , education etc .....then a fair and reasonable approach to migration , asylum etc would be fine
But it's bollocks
And they want to fight the election on this right wing mantra

Its costs a lot less to let them stay and help them get on their feet than it does to send them to Rwanda

What is the issue you refer to?
Unless you can trace your entire lineage to the bell beaker people, you're ancestors were immigrants at some point too.

if your point is that you don't often find a 100% factually correct post on Twitter, but today you have, then well done
