Jeezz that escalated quickly
No matter the amount of rain a pitch is surely supposed to drain better than that
FFS. My commentary isn't working, is the game abandoned or just stopped for now?
no go this game is off...
even if the rain stops the ball will not run
nope the white lines are gone... this cant be played on now surely ;(
Bloody hell - pitch is like a swimming pool
I've never seen a professional pitch with such bad drainage.
Hard to see this re-starting. The pitch is almost under water. It would need to stop raining, then drain, then be spiked
Blackpool, QPR and Wigan all losing.
If match is abandoned is the full game replayed?
Rotherham, what a joke
I think there has to be something like 70 mins played for the result to stand, at least it used to be the case.
Feckin typical!
:Edit: City singing "we want our money back...."
Can't see many groundsman with forks out there
no offiical mention yet
some of the white lines as in the corners spots and so on are gone almost washed and blurred away...
they are saying the ground staff may come out and take a look... but if anything the rain looks to have stopped... but it the 20 min it came down for has ruined the pitch and in places there is no way a ball will roll... every section of the pitch is effected, every white line is blurred and in some places not visable...
some players coming out to have a look at it
It's all laughing and joking on the Rotherham bench at the moment
Is that Howard Webb on the phone?
city fans singing sack the groundsmen
Zero attempt by groundstaff to do anything now the rain has stopped
I've never seen a pitch react this way. As someone else said I've played in worse conditions on normal pitches and they've stood up better than this.
Very half hearted attempt to push the water, if they were winning I’m sure it would be different.
