From today's WOL article:
"Other clubs are cracking on; Coventry City have just signed Jay Da Silva, Norwich City have recruited two players already, while Joe Bryan is expected to be announced by Bristol City any time soon"
Loads of comments from Turkish football fans under the new manager announcement tweet. This one stuck out, seems a lot of people agree with it:
İlk transferi Pelkas olur
— Fenerbook (@Fenerbook1) June 3, 2023
Translates to "His first transfer will be Pelkas".
I'm guessing they're talking about Dimitrios Pelkas who played under Bulut at Fenerbahçe and spent last season on loan at Hull. A creative midfielder that didn't create much.
Some comments from Hull fans on Pelkas:
"Guess both will be released by their clubs this summer as this was a chance to prove themselves and neither took it"
"Never failed to miss an easy chance or an open goal, absolute Turkey."
"He never really stepped up when needed."
Nathan Redmond who’s contract ends at besiktas this season is on Erol Bulut list of free agents to sign for Cardiff as he is looking for a return back to England
29 year old Pelkas. 29 year old Redmond.
He has a type.

We understand that Leeds United have had scouts watching Sory Kaba during the 22/23 season. The striker scored eight goals on loan at Cardiff City.

Bulut managed Steven Caulker twice in Turkey. Just released by Wigan. Caulker claiming they get on well, and obviously an ex-City player.
Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back here.

And so it begins
Reports in Turkey link Trabzonspor's Anastasios Bakasetas with a move to Cardiff City to re-join Erol Bulut. Trabzonspor just want a cool £7m though, with City banned from paying fees.
Take it with a decent pinch of salt, I'd suggest
Rob Dickie's gone to Bristol Rovers on a free. He would have been a good signing considering we wouldn't have had to pay a transfer fee.

Cardiff City, Derby County, Portsmouth, Barnsley and Oxford are chasing Notts County ace Ruben Rodrigues on a free transfer this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Rodrigues, 26, is out of contract later this month and although he has been offered a new deal at Meadow Lane a number of sides are ready to lure him away.
The Portuguese attacker played an instrumental role in Notts County’s promotion from the National League last season.
He had 34 goal involvements for the Magpies, scoring 19 and providing 15 assists.
The 26-year-old joined Notts County from Dutch side FC Den Bosch in 2020 with his deal expiring this month.
