The highest rate since Elvis died in August 1977 apparently. Inflation is down from 10.4 to 10.1, but I woke up to confident forecasts on the radio that it would be at less than ten per cent when the new figure was announced. Pasta has doubled in price in two years, olive oil up 49 per cent in a year, milk 34 per cent, sugar nearly 30 per cent, ready meals twenty odd per cent, the list goes on.

Similar to an article in yesterday's Guardian. It has a good go at Asda, who are definitely profiteering, as are the rest.
Cost of British food basics increases by up to 80% in a year - https://www.theguardian.com/business...o-80-in-a-year

Did you predict 80% UK food price inflation?Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostAs predicted in the Ballon d'Or winning great reset conspiracy theory thread, while people were making jokes about the cost of coats.
If so that is impressive crystal ball gazing!
But the piss staking about the price of coats had nothing to do with the rate of food price rises and everything to do with hysterical fabrication or exaggeration from the usual tin foil suspects. Pure bollux. Called out at every relevant opportunity. As it should be!

Using the threat of climate change to shrink national economies is just one part of the great reset, and there's still a lot more to come!Originally posted by jon1959 View PostDid you predict 80% UK food price inflation?
