That's a much more even handed message than your first one was and I generally agree that Farage is one of the most important political characters in this country of the twenty first century - even if I would argue that he is a flawed major player in the political game. I read an article in the Guardian of all places last week that was very respectful of Farage's abilities as they set out an argument for saying he was the figure who could be said to have dominated UK politics in the last twenty odd years.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. For example, Dominic Cummings' simple "take back control" line was perhaps decisive in the outcome of the Referendum because it captured in the most simple terms the powerlessness people in what I'll call working class areas of the country were experiencing.[/

He is a contender but I agree I am not sure I would go that far either Bob. If it is twenty years I am minded to pass that award to Blair who really did dominate in every sense and exited unbeaten. Nicola Sturgeon could also make a strong case. Tough one, but I think Blair might have to nick it.

By the way Bobby, no beers involved the other night. I am tea total these days. That said late night tiredness in play, and wanted to apologise for the ageist comments. Not necessary, not required and not really sure why I said. We might sit on the opposite benches on politics but nevertheless - a genuine handshake and apology offered to a respected messageboard poster

Problem is Sludge lives in a democracy, so debate is part of the game if you like politics. Poor bugger was born a few decades too late and in the wrong European country!

Hate to break it to you, but many Tories are hard working, pay taxes, CCFC fans, and keep within the law and are generally decent people, Hillary Clinton did great harm to her election chances by labelling more than 50% of Merica deplorables.

I don't think you are in a position to be impartial on this matter , let's be honest

I don't think so on the evidence of your posting since you returned to the fray

It's more anti left and libertarian than middle ground

                            I think that's a very fair appraisal

                            Lefty luvies ?

It's the extreme left, gone too far, pushing the filth into children's classrooms
wanting to wave their dicks about in girl's changing rooms.
IMO the left has been ruined by activists and for balance the extreme right has always extreme right.
As said previously, the current gangsters in No.10 are about the worst I've known however, and IMO,
Sunak going to Scotland and announcing new licenses for oil drilling especially in the face of the current
religious cult was a good thing (obviously for the oligarchs) but also for those who work in the industry, it isn't
about Red or Blue, we have an American style uniparty, voting is done for me, it's just about policy now irrespective
of the badge colour. If Starmer ever has the bollox to get of the fence and announce a decent policy then I'll be joining in
with the praise, although I've seen he now seems to understand what a woman is to be fair to him.
