area 54 sq miles
budget £656m

Cambridge
population 148k
area 15 sq miles
budget £1041m

I'd be interested to hear anybody's attempt at arguing no to this.

The tax system isn't fit for purpose but I can't see it changing.

How is council tax calculated and by who ?
Do Cambridge residents pay more than Cardiff residents?
How is the central govt grant calculated ?
Does the Senedd add / subtract anything ?

ah ignore that, looks like the budget value for Cambridge is for the whole county which has a population of about 650k
