No, the app says leave your bins out and they’ll get round to collecting them when they can

Many around by me have left theirs out since September hoping for the same. Last week they were able to take them back in.

now considering collecting once every 3 weeks amongst other cost reduction measures !

Higher council tax and increases to car parking charges are also being considered as part of efforts to plug a huge budget gap

It may sound flippant, but seriously, aside from the street lighting if the Council f****d off and locked the door[s] to County and City Hall, would there be any noticeable difference ?

We've got slimline wheelie bins in my area and they get pretty full with fortnightly collections. Any rubbish that doesn't fit in your bin isn't picked up. What does the council expect to happen if they make collections even less frequently?

A tale as old as time on this forum. The UK has voted repeatedly for cuts to councils and other public services. So obviously those services will get worse.

What do you expect to happen?

The council say many bins in the city's neighbourhoods aren't used enough and attract fly-tipping.

Getting rid of public bins and reducing street cleaning work are among plans to cut council spending in Cardiff.
