Angela Rayner: No police action after council house probe.

Police had been investigating the deputy Labour leader over a house in Stockport she sold in 2015.

Thoughts and prayers for The Daily Heil, Dan Hodges and all the Tory boys on CCMB

Tories involved should be charged with wasting police time. Just as bad as beer gate. They haven’t got a clue have they.

"council tax and personal tax do not fall into the jurisdiction of policing' and findings had been passed on to Stockport Council and HMRC." - In other words she will be getting a bill for dodging the tax / not paying the correct amount or declaring it (depending on your point of view)

She's just committed Labour to recognising the Palestinian state when they win on July 4th (I didnt think that was official Labour party policy as yet)? - it should be in my opinion.
Plenty more balls in that loose cannon

Sir Keir said it could only be recognised as state as part of a peace process. Seeing as Israel wont let happen any time Hamas is in 'power' it could be a very long wait

Did you miss this in the news Pipsy: HM Revenue and Customs also looked into Angela Rayner’s tax arrangements relating to the sale of her first home, at her request, and it is understood that no further action is being taken.

She’s done nothing wrong and you know it. Thoughts and prayers.

How many trees were lost because of the Daily Mail’s pointless pursuit of The Labour leader and his deputy? She’s been cleared of all of the charges she faced about that house it seems, so what is it that you’re trying to make out you know that the police and HMRC didn’t?

I think she's a complete hypocrite for slagging off tory housing policy ......rightly so ....but then buying a council house and contributing to the lack of social housing available to others

Not a leg to stand on

But with regard to doing anything illegal it seems shes not guilty

100 percent guilty of hypocrisy and hopefully one day getting the elbow though

There are a few Conservatives in this thread who have been left with egg on their faces by yesterday’s news. It’s strange how some of them are unrepentant when shown to be wrong, yet they have so little to say when the allegations of corruption are against members of their party.

By contrast, there are plenty of left leaning contributors on here who are happy to let justicetake its course when Labour politicians are accused of corruption - in doing so, they show the maturity that the people who have been proved wrong in this thread often accuse them of lacking.

Now, that's what I call corruption Vol. 3,568

Angela Raynor can feck off and join the Tories

                                She's sided with Abbott

                                Doing the devil's work

Bollocks to her principles , she gave up on them the minute she bought a council house after slagging off the policy

Labour shooting themselves in the foot again
