  • I often defend the BBC, but……..

I’ve just seen the guest list for tonight’s Question Time - Wes Streeting, some Tory, Nigel Farage, Piers Morgan and the Bishop of Dover, wonder what they’re going to be talking about with those last three involved? I think I’ll be giving it a miss tonight - Farage has hardly been off the telly since he told us all that America and the money making opportunities it represents?) is more important to him than a UK election.

Reform are a one trick pony. Perhaps the Bishop and Wes will talk some sense. I’d love to hear Farage pontificate on some other subject to show how shallow he is.

All the more reason to watch it. I could do with a laugh.

It's on now. Didn't realise that, but it started at 8 (as it will until the election btw)

The BBC has a tough job. I moaned about it this week. I don't think this panel is that outrageous though.

As shown here, over several years the panel were remainers by a ratio of 2:1

Heinz Brandenburg and Brian Boyle ask the question whether BBC Question Time was balanced or biased during the Brexit debate.

I do agree that Farage and Morgan are similar in style mind.

I was thinking about immigration, not Brexit, when I said we can imagine what will be talked about on Question Time, but, then again, I suppose they were the same thing for many people back in 2016 and probably still are now.

Yeah I was just illustrating how the BBC consistently didn't represent views on that topic over a long period of time on it's flagship political debate show. Water under the bridge now

As for last night, it was actually alright. I really don't like QT when it's too partisan and shouty, but it wasn't. Immigration was discussed, as you would expect, but only as part of many other topics.

                  Worth a watch

I watched it, and a good watch it was, talked about a range of subjects, Morgan tried to shoot his mouth and had it back. On the whole worth a watch.
One point though - the rather large lady saying she worked for the nhs and moaned about resources, well if she lost some weight it might help the the nhs having to treat obesity issues in the first place.
Wes trying to be all things to everyone, the Tory bloke didn’t have much to say, the vicar, needs to get a job other than believing in something in the clouds, farage and Morgan fairly well behaved, agreeing in somethings and totally opposite on other areas, all good stuff

Worth mentioning tonight on Question Time; two solid left wing people, one centre left and one centre -right.

These things tend to equal themselves out
