I've been disappointed by him. The wider context is that Wales desperately needs a change from Welsh Labour in my opinion, but within that context I had high hopes for him. He seems strong and sensible.

Doesn't look that way now though. Being directed by the party and this no confid nice vote. On Wednesday he won't be present at the D Day commemorations and that is a bad look.

I agree that Welsh politics has little impact on UK wide politics but there is previously little from 25 years of Welsh Labour to point to as a success.

I like the free prescriptions, I'll admit that, and the Metro is improving, but previously little else

I would get rid of him ASAP and I hope he loses the confidence vote

Miles could do a far better job and appears far less ego driven

He's not toxic at all - and if you ever met him I'm sure he would have you eating out of the palm of his hand. That is his greater strength and equally his biggest weakness.
He thinks he is untouchable and that no one would notice. The problem being the corridors of Welsh Gov are infected by Tafia , all with various hidden agendas, Ltd companies with similar boards, some of whom are local councillors and donators to the Labour (and other) parties.
This is all usually ignored, but someone has been leaking the various connections plus the fact that his fellow Senedd members wanted Miles. VG it seems is facing the sword of Damocles - a death by a thousand cuts - as it seems there are more stories out there over payments.

News reporting that the First Minister is set to lose the vote today as two Labour MS's are off sick.

Vote is at 5pm apparently. Can imagine there's some pretty frantic phone calls going around today

I would want to see a letter from their mum or from the GP as to why they are so ill to attend plus we have zoom - they can vote remotely instead.
