I've got a feeling you might be testing out that theory pretty soon!

Can't wait. Things were quiet, didn't have to deal with arseholes, life was simple. I think that we should have one every year.

If it were to happen again, and I would be amazed if it did, I believe that 60% of the public would stick two fingers up, ignore “the science”, and distrust the pharmaceutical companies. I would do the same as the last lockdown, and just sit it out:

                  1. Continue my daily exercise of core body work and weights, with two outside runs a week if allowed

                  2. Get the DJ decks out again, build new sets of music and enjoy myself

                  3. Use the digibox and watch tons of box sets and films, comedy and old football games and boxing fights in evening and weekends. I would probably watch the “Billions” 7 series again with Damien Lewis. Fave of all time

                  4. Buy stocks in the major pharmaceutical companies and make a killing by aggressively trading the falls in the FTSE100, sterling, construction firms, transport companies, car sales companies, airlines, shipping, and shopping malls. If the US, Canada and Europe was in the same situation I would be betting heavily on oil price falls and US and European stock markets in general.

Same plan as last time. Stay in. Stay fit. Have fun. Make money. Sit it out. No sweat, happy days.

Let’s hope they don’t lock children in their homes and close schools ,this bit really affected my family ,and the fallout is being felt today. The problem with a few big hitters on here is that they didnt have young kids and couldn’t understand why people had different opinions to the mass media.

Schools are struggling to address social issues unrelated to teaching - as the BBC has found in Telford.

I agree. Lockdowns and its long tail is very very damaging for many kids, their families, schools and society.

Lockdown should never have lasted more than a few weeks. After that point it was about the vulnerable being protected.

Especially since young children were under virtually no threat from the virus. Teachers would have been of course. Not sure why they were different to doctors, nurses, shop workers, etc. though.
