    Re: EU election day

With around 60 to 80 percent of the population still in a deep slumber, I don't see any change in direction as the world hurtles towards technocratic authoritarian rule. In fact, to some extent I think the people deserve it, or as the saying goes "those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it". It will be an interesting experience for those in their twilight years, but not so much for the younger generations who are currently being conditioned to accept it.

It'll be like 1997 all over again. At the time Blair / Brown over spending by announcing massive public sector projects was great for me. There are always positives to be had from a negative. Sir Beer Korma is looking like he will have the same mentality - or rather Raynor and Co will and he will have his head turned to do the same. Happy days... hopefully if history repeats itself

I can't see it myself as he will be following a globalist agenda, which means less of everything, including freedom.

General election in Belgium today too. One of the more interesting general political issues in Europe is about whether Belgium may split one day. The southern part (Walloonia) votes very differently to the northern part (Flanders)

It seems the "far left" have done very well in Walloonia and the "far right" have in Flanders.

I'm not a fan of left v right whatever the distance is, as it's just another way of dividing people.

Blimey, that's in response to the National Rally doing so well.

First round of the election is a few days before ours..😬

makes you wonder why Sunak called an election in such notice too doesn't it when he knows he got no chance of winning

we now got Biden and Putin playing chess games in the USA election year too

Batton down the hatches going to be a bumpy ride me thinks !
