We plan to move soon and the property we are looking at, the internet modem is some way from where the TV will go. (current house it is alongside TV...and Firestick connected via cable).

SO...if that is the case, is it possible to connect the modem/Firestick/Tv using Bluetooth (assuming new TV has that...)......similarly.....can I use bluetooth to connect my laptop to TV to watch streamed sports/films etc?

You use wifi to the firestick, then that connects to the TV USB port

If the router is too far away to give you a good signal then you have two low cost options. Either get a booster which plugs into the mains somewhere between the router and TV and boosts the signal. Or use powerline adaptors, which plug into the router and carry the wifi signal along the mains network. Both are easy to set up and effective.
