I am confused at what Starmer is up to picking experts in ministerial roles. Aren't you just supposed to pick people based on how slavishly loyal they have been to you and how well they can lie on Sunday morning TV?

Already shown more integrity and leadership that we have seen in years by day 2.

I would have binned Angela Raynor and Ed Milliband

Glad he's got rid of the pompous Emily Thornberry

Is it any different to Boris' first cabinet?

Fair point, qualifications for being minister for science, research and innovation:

Patrick Vallance - former chief scientific advisor to the government and actual scientist

Jo Johnson - brother of Boris Johnson

It's one of the three appointments I am referring to in the op. One of the things I think starmer could easily improve upon from recent Tory governments is to a) appoint people into positions that they have expertise in and b) not reshuffle every five minutes.

What point are you trying to make? Who do you have in mind from Johnson’s first Cabinet or are you just on a wind up again?

It's a joke, she didn't pay her tax on the ex-council house?

Everyone else will eventually have to pay more no doubt.

Housing Secretary - Angela Rayner :hehe:

Stramer is already having a laugh at the Labour voters :hehe:

                            Re: Cabinet appointments

Another mistake, someone soft as a prison minister who feels only a third should be in there, tell that to the red wall who's mothers have had a burglary, they are going to love that!!!!

Why Starmer hired key-cutting boss as prisons minister

James Timpson has made a name for himself hiring hundreds of former prisoners.

Whats more he employs them in a key cutting business!

Your Tories have been early releasing prisoners for ages because the prisons are so overcrowded (state run and private run - what a nonsense) that there is no room for more - even in police cells.

Decades of increasing sentences whilst not dealing with the condition, capacity and regimes of existing gaols has (like the criminal justice system collapse overall) been a disaster.

Much as I dislike Starmer, and distrust the incoming Labour administration, this one is 100% on your lot!
