Re: James O'Brien meets Gary Stevenson
Not really, I was referring to his views on the current economic realities which are quite worrying, and the class system in general. I did get into a private school from a comprehensive through Maths skills, but our lives are nowhere near the same, and Gary is also way smarter than me!Originally posted by Swiss Peter View PostI listened to that. Interesting. Are you and he very alike then?

He certainly comes across as very smart. I didn't think he said anything about the class system and current economic realities that would surprise many though?Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostNot really, I was referring to his views on the current economic realities which are quite worrying, and the class system in general. Re: James O'Brien meets Gary Stevenson
Many people think we are going to sail out of the recent crisis under a new government, but the public debt per capita says otherwise. The only solution is a great reset (Starmer is calling it a bigger reset), so get ready for a wild ride.Originally posted by Swiss Peter View PostHe certainly comes across as very smart. A global Covid recovery plan by the World Economic Forum has inspired false rumours about the creation of a tyrannical world government.
Environmental protection, green economies, equalities and wealth redistribution.
Shock horror.
This so-called socialist agenda designed by and for the richest world capitalists?
And the only saviour..... DONALD J TRUMP.
Time for a 'wild ride'!

So they are going to take money from themselves and give it to us! Have I got that right?Originally posted by jon1959 View Posthttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-57532368

Re: James O'Brien meets Gary Stevenson
Anyway back to the video, it's full of useful information and I would recommend sticking with it until a firm grasp of the topics covered is achieved. It's not about points scoring or my team is better than your team, it's just a basic economics lesson in layman's terms, so there shouldn't be any arguments over it.

No and no.Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostSo they are going to take money from themselves and give it to us! Have I got that right?
They (the people and interests that network at the WEF) have identified the threats to their own power and wealth and talk about ways of turning those threats to their advantage and benefit.
Climate change, poverty and inequality are real and a threat to them.
Their solutions are not - as claimed by people who think like you - socialist. I want to see red/green solutions to the crises facing the world. The WEF does not offer them. Donald J Trump is the opposite of a solution - he is part of the problem.

Re: James O'Brien meets Gary Stevenson
You're the first person on here to acknowledge the threat of the WEF, everybody else still thinks it is a conspiracy theory. BTW, I've never said their ideas were socialist, they are totalitarian. Regarding red/green, I am holding back any judgment until they start putting their ideas into practice. It's an interesting time to be alive for sure, and that's without even mentioning Trump!Originally posted by jon1959 View PostNo and no.
