It was a thirty second clip

She was on BBC news last night and said that many people in the community she lived said that race was a factor in the VG situation and she agreed

You could write to her for the specifics you seem to want if she's still involved in local politics

Or go down to Grange Gardens with a sandwich board saying stop playing the race card you lot !

      Good luck

I’m down the grange a couple of times a month, I’ll ask the people I meet up with, a mixed bunch, different skin colours, different demographics as well.
White, black and mixed but no Chinese or Asian. I would say on the whole just about everyone I talked to think he’s corrupt and got caught out.

The Grange is my patch too. The Green Party meet there once a month. I think it's very likely that everyone would agree he's been corrupt. I do know that there are many people of colour who also think he's been targeted. Now, it may not fit with non-black narratives, however, it's perfectly possible that he could be corrupt and have been on the receiving end of racism. I've said before, that white posters should really be more open to the fact that we really don't know what it's like to be black or of any colour/race. In other words, we should try and be more empathetic.

Anyway. He's gone. That's what many wanted (included me). There are still many people in Grangetown I know who are sad to see him go though (including me).

Not anymore it's not and not as bloody as any of the other three, but plenty of blood has been spilt on it's soil over the centuries.

White, black, green red or purple, if people are corrupt they have no business in our politics whatever their racial or political hue.

That's what I said, but in a different way. We are both 100% in agreement.....however, I suspect that once you cross the Rubicon into politics, corruption and half-truths, alt truths and hypocrisy become part of the lifestyle. It's certainly been that way throughout history. Many call it 'compromise' or excuse it as just 'politics' but it's still corruption nevertheless.

                        For once I agree
I have a friend who happens to be black (black mum black dad) he has a very strong opinion on VG and that he is not black and should not refer himself as that, white dad black mum is mixed race.
He’s has experienced racism in his life as have I (ex boss was black and hated white people - so I copped for it a few times)
My son is classed as mixed race and luckily, racism has never happened.
Back to Gething he is looking for any reason to excuse his ‘legacy’ just like Blair with Iraq, Cameron with brexit, human nature I guess

Although his politics are far too right wing for me I must admit I'm warming to Starmer a little. So far, in fairness, he does come over as a competent leader (not difficult I hear people say after the shower of proverbial we've sadly suffered over the last 14 years).

I was particularly impressed with his address today with his proclamation that his government would be all about service and not self-interest. What a very welcome change!

I wasn’t ,I have heard it all before when Blair and brown came in, ‘taking the brakes off’ is a line I remember. Last time Labour came in and did that they used PFI to achieve growth of 3-3.5%, it was all bollox , he just kept it off the books. Then there was brown who said he was the ‘light hand on the tilla’ of financial regulations, corporate and high st banking etc
So when the sub prime storm hit we were shafted
Those new Labour days were great for me financially, badly run over budget public sector projects, thank you very much
Not so good for UK plc though
So with the benefit of hindsight I’m sort of hoping for the same level of incompetence and bravado policies, with a just through money at it attitude. The fact Labour have seemingly inherited an economy in good shape, I’m pretty sure history will repeat itself, let’s see
