I definitely don't take anyone as gospel, but Jon at least manages to talk politics without labelling people scum, which on this forum scores at least C+.

Bins and a car were set alight outside the Southport mosque during the riots. The mosque in Belfast was fire bombed in the later ‘unrest’ in Northern Ireland targetting immigrants and non-white people, with the same cast list (plus the red hand boys). But deny it if you like - it was clear who the targets of the riots were, and why.

I disagree with some of this from Kenan Malik (although I am more in favour of free speech than no platform) but he does a very good take down on the hypocrisy of Allison Pearson, her employers and many of her supporters. He also thinks the police should have stayed out of it.
