Of course, doesn’t matter how many times I told him I generally voted liberal, he never paid any attention, don’t vote labour, you are a TORY

I genuinely feel sorry for the guy, as he seems to come across as being permanently angry. Clearly his Catholic upbringing has scarred him for life with regards any thoughts on Christianity. I would dearly have liked to meet him face-to-face for a chat if only to dispel some of the notions that he has about me.

Sludge talks total bollux about Lib-Labery, ear-bleed metal, and Cardiff City away support.

But his core instincts are sound - and he is always right about the Tories and fishing (I know nothing about fishing!).

I hope he is back soon. TLG is missing him!

So do many others, myself included. Maybe if he can’t take it back mentally he shouldn’t be firing shots and getting personal with others. Like I said, f*ck him.

He's said a few racist and certainly very misogynistic things and is very insulting to a lot of people often using violent language. He would have been banned long before on some other Internet forums.

Like I said, I hope it's temporary but his behaviour has often been very poor.

Yes, I think he would be a very interesting guy to meet and I did sense his frustrations got the better of him which happens to us all sometimes

Misogynistic maybe, but racist? He’s never struck me as racist. Can you provide examples?

Comments about Priti Patel, Suella Braveman etc and what they should or should think based on their racial heritage. It's not Grade A racism, but it is a form of racism nonetheless, especially by modern definitions. I think the misogyny is far more prevalent and I repeat I hope he comes back.

Sludges view of Toryism is far too narrow and blinkered.

I can probably agree with him on his views on the more extreme right wing tories

However, as with Labour and Lib dem voters peoples views are far more nuanced than he gives them credit for and many (like myself) don't regard ourselves as having any particular party affiliations.

I have voted probably fairly evenly for Tories and Liberals
(Including SDP and Lib Dems) for Labour at local elections (and would probably have voted for a party led by John Smith at a national election had he lived).

I have also not felt able to vote at all several times (particularly last time, though had Andy Burnham been
Labour leader I may have done, depending on his manifesto obviously).

He's not someone who is generally associated with nuance and weighing up different perspectives - and his hurling of the predictable 'Tory Boy' epithet is rather tiresome.

Indeed. I am not sure if the word nuance is in Sludges vocabulary!

Why has Sludge been banned? Can the messageboard moderators give a reason? It can't be for continuing to spout absolute nonsense or there'd be a few more missing, myself included.
