He's done it to me as well, but don't be too harsh on him - he's "on the fence" when it comes to Trump after all

From what I can gather, it's a different, more acceptable, type of corruption if it's the likes of Trump, Musk etc involved, as opposed to Biden, Obama, Soros etc.

That's because some politicians are more equal than others. Always has, always will.

I think this is the fence!

Musk's companies take an apparent $8m a day out of the government. You can be sure DOGE aren't interested in that. But they are going for the departments that are investigating his companies.

Money and power have always gone together, but there has surely never been a conflict of interest on this scale.

I’m 20 minutes into this particular interview with Mike Benz, who has done a deep dive into American Propaganda for the last 60 years or so and is pertinent to the Elon Musk “DOGE Movement”.

I don’t know how it will turn out.
So far it paints America’s recent history and ambitions in a bad light.

It’s a long, long interview. Over 3 hours by the looks of it.

Let me know if anyone else is going to watch it.

It could be bollocks or it could blow things up massively.
I can't do Joe Rogan. Even if I really like the guest, 3 hours is just far too long. I'd rather spend the time listening to 3 other well edited hour long podcasts than sit through all the filler.

It used to be good, random mix of high profile guests and relative nobodies who were interesting. Joe was inquisitive but listened and asked questions that we were thinking. Now it just seems like the default guest is a slightly hacky comedian looking for exposure, proven lunatics or the same 5 'experts' he cycles through. But the main problem now isn't the guests, it's Joe, even when he has someone decent on, he twists the convo into boring anti-woke stuff and most guests don't feel comfortable telling him they don't want to spend an hour talking about it. It feels like one big echo chamber and Joe seems to have more of an ego than before.

The CNN video in question was an Anderson Cooper narrative engineering hit-piece with Bernie Sanders, not an on-the-record press conference in the White House. I'm very happy to clear that up for you, cheers

So Bernie Sanders didn’t mean to say what he did and was only suckered into it by some unscrupulous media hack? What did he really mean to say then?

Bernie has got a lovely big house for a socialist, but he's obviously troubled by something.

All Socialists should have big lovely houses, just like everyone else. No discrimination!

                          The Daily Doge 19/02/2025

As of February 19, 2025, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has intensified efforts to uncover and address alleged government fraud. Recent developments include:

Resignations of Veteran Officials: Several seasoned U.S. civil servants, such as Michelle King and David Lebryk, have resigned in protest against DOGE's demands for access to sensitive records, particularly personal financial data held by the IRS. These officials expressed concerns over potential breaches of privacy and security.
                          LATEST NEWS & BREAKING HEADLINES

Access to IRS Data: DOGE has granted Gavin Kliger, a 25-year-old software engineer, access to the IRS's sensitive tax database. This move aims to identify and combat fraudulent activities, especially those involving foreign nationals, which reportedly cost taxpayers billions annually.
                          NEW YORK POST

Investigations into Treasury Payment Systems: Government watchdogs are probing Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's decision to allow DOGE access to federal payment systems. The audits seek to evaluate the adequacy of controls over these systems and investigate claims of fraudulent payments authorized by Treasury personnel.
                          POLITICO

Criticism of DOGE's Efficacy: Analysts have questioned DOGE's approach, suggesting that its focus on dismantling agencies and offering federal worker buyouts yields minimal savings. Critics argue that targeting military and entitlement spending or adjusting taxes would be more effective strategies for deficit reduction.
                          THE ATLANTIC

These actions have sparked significant debate regarding privacy, the balance of power, and the overall effectiveness of DOGE's initiatives in combating government fraud.

Except it’s not fraud though is it? It's just governmental spending on things they don’t agree on. That’s not fraud.

Is there supposed to be a point to that?

Some people work from home and they might not get dressed into office wear when they do.
