The council, backed by the police…erected bollards in the middle of the night while folk were sleeping to avoid protesters in Barton Hill, Bristol.

It's bad form to do it at that time of the night. Community projects like this will never have full support but equally they shouldn't attract significant opposition.

The thing I don't like is the controlling through cameras, restrictions on movement times etc. It just ends up being a pile of micro stresses that lead to a slightly less pleasant environment to live in.

There's a general lack of real consultation on these things.

The WEF conspiracies are pretty dopey really. Rather than the concept of a bunch of old farts destroying the global economy and somehow benefitting from an economic wasteland thereafter we actually already have a world being dominated by oligarchs in both Russia and The West and with the Chinese State as company.
