I think Plaid are playing a dangerous game with independence and this nation Cymru nonsense

Plaid will have NO chance of any independence at all with reform , you will be thrown away with the trash

I will vote Plaid to defeat reform in wales if my local polls suggest that's tge best option .....thats what its all about

Plaid running with independence whilst farage is possibly going to walk in through the back door is extremely irresponsible

They would have far more support and respect if they admitted nationalism in the future is up for democratic debate but not till we have put reform out of the way .....and we do that by electoral pacts not saying oh we are so much better than labour ....when the huge danger is reform !
This is one of my greatest ever contributions

Seriously speaking plaid are on Facebook again deriding labour which is fair enough , they have been shocking and eluned Morgan is as bad as starmer but if they want to get labour voters to back them .....and sock it to reform ....thats not the way to go about it

Very politically wet behind the ears

Start getting stuck into reform .....those voters are lost ...and if labour are as bad in the polls as it appears .....pitch for their ex voters to join Plaid to defeat reform

This is the main focus , not student politics about independence etc etc

I would be happy with a plaid led coalition wether it includes labour or not at present I coukdnt care less but the job for Plaid is to edge out reform and everything else is irrelevant if that ot get in

    So get on with it

They are absolutely bricking it at the moment, the current Labour government down the bay. My guess, being very average politicians clinging to any power they have, will bend over backwards with Plaid now to make any deal they can to stay in power albeit by coalition with vastly reduced numbers. God only knows where this independence nonsense will get us, into more poverty and lack of employment no doubt. We produce nowhere near enough revenue to survive on our own…..

My view is the same . If Wales votes for a stronger voice thats fine . But if Plaid use the vote I loan them to go full speed ahead with independence based on a one off increase of vote share to defeat reform ....which is likely to happen as lots of labour voters will switch to plaid to stop reform .....then thats going to end badly

Because that support can and will be switched to either a stronger labour party or a new left wing party or lib dem or greens

As long as it keeps the Reform nutters at bay (not literally) then it's to be welcomed, Shirley?

They aren't running on independence though

Polls are showing Labour voters are heading to Plaid in Wales at a rate higher than they are Reform. Plaid are clearly trying to distance themselves from Labour for obvious reasons as Reform are trying to tie them up together as "one party". Plaid are also getting "stuck into" Reform, but they also need to make it clear that they are the alternative, which is what they're doing by pointing out how poorly Labour are doing

I don't agree with Plaid sentiment in any shape or form but I'd happily lend them my vote if it means they keep out Reform.

He's the most effective political communicator in a generation, so their opposition will have to try to take him out of the equation.
He isn't standing in the senedd elections, he fronts a very english centric party, and his party don't seem to have much in the way of Welsh policies, and he's the face of the Brexit movement that hasn't exactly been a roaring success for wales.
And their manifesto is complete nonsense, none of it adds up.

There are certainly many areas that Reform should be weak on in Wales, it's just a question on whether the other parties can get that message out effectively.
                    No manifesto ever adds up….

Thats going to do more to help Plaid be an anti reform ticket than wasting time outlining a plan for welsh speaker numbers in 2030 etc

With respect if you want people to back you stop wasting time on things that really can wait till farage is castrated in Wales

Whatever happens next year there may be a glimmer of hope, but not necessarily for us in Wales. Either the progressive parties band together and fight this sensibly and keep them out, which is perfectly possible with some thought, or Reform take the WG and prove they are such a shower the UK takes note.

I think either try and unite on an anti reform progressive alliance or its curtains

I dont want to hear any more nonsense from Plaid about independence or labour having a go at plaid or lib dems and Greens bumping their gums

Bunch of idiots are just doing reforms work for them

As for this yes Cymru crap again let that go till after the assembly elections ff sake and fight the real enemy

Once reform god help us get enough power to run the assembly it will be very very difficult to break that chain

What lowest common denominator platform do you think all these anti Reform parties should sign up to, Sludge?

Whilst remaining silent for maybe another 4 years on all the policies and principles that have defined them?

A new Popular Front - yes. An electoral pact - yes. But combine around a single public policy of ‘Stop Reform’ is a recipe for self destruction. We have had the negative politics of Starmer for too long. People want and need a positive vision of the future.
