    Re: Online Safety Act

Seems to me it's a good idea, with some flaws. There seems to be some smaller sites getting affected that perhaps don't have the funds to get the necessary checks in place, which is an issue, and there needs to be a way around this. But making it harder for kids to stumble upon offensive content is a good thing (Obviously older ones will find the workaround of a VPN - It is what it is).

Seems to be me though it's the old Farage voters kicking up the biggest stink, because they can't work out how to access pornhub.

Surely there has to be something better than that though.
Isn’t there a way to stop a child viewing 18+ websites or certain social media directly on the device that they are using.

It can’t be right having to use a VPN or upload your ID/Take a selfie and let them guess your age?

      It’s absurd.

There absolutely is a way to stop it on lots of devices, but that's dependent on the parents being able or motivated to do it. Unfortunately that won't be the case in many cases. Not being all "think of the children" but there really is some warped stuff that's a few unfortunate clicks away. While this doesn't seem to be a perfect solution, it's equally crazy to have everything open. When I was younger the best you could hope for was page 3, without serious effort.

I remember finding my uncle's almost-porn magazine secreted behind the high cistern in my grandparents' outside loo. It was confusing for me at the ladies' daisy-flowers were airbrushed out and replaced by featureless skin without any folds or features.

Did you have to buy your own boxes of Kleenex?

Should you really be posting such graphic accounts with these new laws in place?

'at' should read as 'as', as it were.

Isn't bad form to use featureless and without any features in the same sentence?

                    Re: Online Safety Act

In principle it’s a great idea, but it appears a bit hollow when Bonnie Blue is everywhere, and kids in my sons school are fully aware of her antics.

                    A psyop perhaps (Bonnie Blue)

Sounds like you stumbled upon a copy of Mannequin wank fest dolls, particularly popular during the late 60s, early 70s.

I had to make do with a Liitlewoods or Kay’s Catalogue until I discovered my first Fiesta.
