The definition of consciousness is not universally agreed on as far as I understand it.

Regarding my suggestions about the subject of your post being divided into various subject areas: just to name a few of them, claims about remote viewing, telepathy and near death experiences would need to be examined individually rather than bundles together, in my opinion.
James Randy put up a million dollars for claimants to prove under scrutiny that they had certain paranormal powers or could repeat experiences - and the offer was withdrawn after 51 years after no successful candidate was able to pass muster.
That doesn't mean that such phenomena can't actually exist but no-one in their right mind would swallow a whole plethora subjects without close examination.
No-one wants to have a closed mind and neither should they wish to be gullible.

James was Randi and not Randy. Could have been both, I suppose.

        Even AI?

AI (any type) cannot and should not be trusted. It's not the single source of truth that some people believe it to be. All it's doing is trawling data on the web, which may or may not be true in the first place. And when it doesn't have an answer, it makes stuff up. Seriously!
