  • One half of Soft Cell Dies

Wasn't a fan back then and didn't know his name until i just read the story "Dave Ball", most knew Marc Almond.
Tainted Love was in 1981 and which i would have been 20 and still rocking out to Slade and leaning towards the progressive genre of Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd & Genesis, before we got married we used to go to Solihull Ice Rink on a Sunday afternoon and on one of the afternoons Doris had a fall and i managed to slice her finger which resulted in a trip to the local A & E, Tainted Love was the background music being played by the DJ at the moment of impact!!! but she still said YES a year later useless bit of trivia but sticks in the memory whereas usually i dont remember what i did yesterday!. Sad News, but inevitable that many we grew up listening to will be nearing EOL, Dave Ball however was only 66 but apparently had been ill for some time.

    Talentless nonsense

A bloke at college was obsessed with them , dressed up as Marc Almond and you could sometimes hear him singing in his room in the student halls

My question with this sort of cobblers is simple ....where's the guitar riffs ?

    Bin it
