Re: Official Reform MP is racist

Labour are gutless t***s and it's already cost them dear in the polls however, although I really don't like him, I am pleased to see Wes Streeting called out this Pochin woman's remarks as racist. Maybe belatedly they are starting to grow some cojones. (Oops, just realised in the case of Streeting that phrase might not be appropriate...sorry Wes)

So on one hand the woman is trying to say that it’s irritating to see a section of the community over represented on tv whilst also implying on every other occasion that we are being swamped with them. Which is it Pochin?

Are you trying for one upmanship or colour for colour?
          Both crimes are despicable.

I am saying a crime is a crime as JW cant surely accuse people of keeping quiet about the abuse gangs if hes not commenting on this

Is anyone surprised? And now she’s making it worse. Horrible, horrible woman. She should resign or be sacked.

It was a bloody stupid thing to say.

Nigel Garage has a press conference ( not about this I don't think) at 14.00 today. He might be asked one or two questions on this topic

If she did have a point to make, I don't think she could have phrased it worse without using slurs, this should bring her intelligence/fitness to serve into question but doesn't seem to have.

Well quite, but beyond that, the implication is that something should be done about it i.e. forcing companies (by legislation or otherwise) to include more white people in their adverts = DEI = something they hate. If anybody can make anything reform says, actually make sense then please do interpret for the rest of us.

One thing this woman has overlooked is that companies pay for advertising that works. They usually spend a lot of money analysing the sort of demographic which provide them with their biggest profit yield. This demographic becomes the target audience.

You can be sure that the companies will not pay for advertising if the target audience is forcibly skewed. It can therefore be concluded that the non white faces which appear in some adverts are potentially a profitable demographic and of course because people of whatever colour need to buy products and services that makes perfect sense.

The contrary view would be that if there were no people of colour in these adverts then they may think the product or service is not targeted towards them and they decide not to make the purchase. Most companies would not wish for that situation to arise in any circumstances.
