      When you understand the predominant two ways to raise income for a government are either tax rises or austerity, suddenly it becomes less of an issue.

            Apart from not being suited to politics in the first place, his biggest mistake was to promote "we are not raising taxes" in the Labour manifesto. What an utter fool!

                I think unless hes booted out after the inevitable hammering at the elections in May the Labour Party is finished

                Many people think it is whatever happens

                Maybe thats not a bad thing and a new progressive movement is needed
