I’d like to see them do it here.
They already do it with The Liquor Stores.
The Groceries here are astronomically expensive compared to the UK.
Even Aldi/Lidl.

This is why I think he's interesting, as I think he will do some things differently, so it will be one to watch and see what happens.Originally posted by Wash DC Blue View PostSeems like a great idea to me.

Whatever the pros and cons I can't see one shop making much difference, but would be interesting if a larger number emerged

Yeah I always notice that, most recently in Florida a few times I can’t believe how much vegetables like peppers, salad and tomatoes cost. Even orange juice….Surely they are grown in the USA, unlike here where we import most stuff.Originally posted by Wash DC Blue View PostSeems like a great idea to me.

Mate, it’s outrageous.Originally posted by goats View PostYeah I always notice that, most recently in Florida a few times I can’t believe how much vegetables like peppers, salad and tomatoes cost. Even orange juice….Surely they are grown in the USA, unlike here where we import most stuff.
I’d guess 4/5 times the price of the UK.
My favourite place to shop is the big International store which caters to mainly Indian/Chinese/Korean folk.
The produce is great and everything was substantially cheaper until tariffs kicked in.
Still is cheaper than every other store mind but it has been affected.
This spice selection is sublime and the aromas are wonderful.
I can also get Digestive Biscuits and Dairy Milk Chocolate there.
