Re: Tactical Voting To Keep Out Reform ?
63 to 77 percent of labour voters would switch to green or lib dem to defeat reform or a reform tory allianceOriginally posted by Dorcus View PostIn a word ... Brilliant! I think this is the new normal
30 percent of labour voters would switch to tory locally to defeat reform if they looked like winning that seat
I couldnt care less if I was represented by a tory mp if voting tory had weakened reform , kept out the tories nationally and led to a uk progressive alliance

Re: Tactical Voting To Keep Out Reform ?
The end game will be a straight Right Wing v Progressive fight and I personally think there will be more problems with tactical voting on the right than on the Progressive side. Tell everyone you know to vote tactically whatever their allegiances because the important aim for sanity is to KEEP OUT THE TRASH!Originally posted by SLUDGE FACTORY View Post63 to 77 percent of labour voters would switch to green or lib dem to defeat reform or a reform tory alliance

Thats what the polling seems to suggest
I am voting plaid in may to try and keep out reform but at a general election it might be lib dem or green or labour again if they have the best chance of defeating the far right

"Far right" now! Why do you never talk about policies, just these daft, emotive labels.Originally posted by SLUDGE FACTORY View PostAbsolutely

Do you know any policies, Sludge?

Re: Tactical Voting To Keep Out Reform ?
You definitely don't. It's the diametric opposite of "conservative" small "c" which means reactionary and upholding traditional vested interests. "Progressive" means new, vibrant and more socially inclusive. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you can dismiss it.Originally posted by JamesWales View PostI do, I just think it's wildly misused and misunderstood term as well as being arrogant

Re: Tactical Voting To Keep Out Reform ?
I know what people who use it think it means. My point is that it is often not very progressive at all. As in, little progress is made in terms of a peaceful, successful, happy, healthy society, or however else anyone may judge it.Originally posted by Dorcus View PostYou definitely don't.
