Re: How Many ?
Dial up :hehe: I was still in my 1st job, although i did do 27 years with them!! I'd just become interested in programming mainly because i was quite friendly with a lad who did the computer stuff, he was a gay lad who lived in Bridgend and i went to his place to watch a bit of porn (his partner was there before jumping to any conclusions :hehe:), dont know why but the dial up at his gaff was capable of generating the filth far quicker than my dialup, i was only getting around 14 kbps at the time which i think was the original dial up speed and he was getting the upgraded 33 kbps, cannot remember if we paid by the minute or the hour, my Doris dreaded the phone bill :hehe: The mobile phones came out when i was still with this company and our MD had to have one, it was almost as big as a small/medium rucksack :hehe: I never did manage to write any decent code in the progress 4GL language!!Originally posted by jon1959 View Post19 for me.
I came so late to the internet that dial up came and went with me in blissful ignorance. Works intranet then a modem the size of a slab.
