Significantly better on the lines with the new trains (which are excellent btw) as there are more doors. Used to be a nightmare as everyone wanted to hang about by the doors.

Like many things regarding the grammar we were taught at school, the 'fewer v less' debate is spurious regarding things that can be counted.
The word 'less' was used for centuries before some academics decided that it was non-U in the 18th century.

I think I will stick with the usage since the 18th century, not before. I am confused enough at the best of times!
