I think you need to hit the BBC3's and 4's before you get the intellectuals like Jon's attention. Scott Mills was a Radio 1 and 2 only guy. We all then rejoin together at Radio 5 regardless of brain capacity.

Can I add that I have never watched Strictly Come Dancing either.

I know it exists, but who is behind the sequins remains a mystery to me - and I'm happy with that!

And If I get asked questions about EastEnders, Coronation Street, Britain's Got Talent, Pop Idol, Big Brother or The Jungle I'm all tongue tied.

But I have heard of John Mills, Hayley Mills, Juliet Mills, Mrs Mills, Danny Mills and Bob Mills.

So my random Mills knowledge is not too bad!

I’ve never heard of Scott Mills either. Possibly because the only radio stations I have listened to in the last 20 years or so are 6 Music, Radio 4 and Radio Wales for football commentary.

I’ve never watched Strictly either for that matter.

                Anyone remember this Mills?

Never listened to Scott Mills’ show, but didn’t he have a show on Saturday mornings on Radio 5 a few years ago which Nigel Owens used to have feature on? If it was him, he sounded like a twenty first century Smashy or Nicey.

The Unite Against the Far Right demonstration in London on Saturday?

I don't know if delmbox was there - but I was.

It was easily 500,000 people - absolutely rammed. Despite the nonsense estimate of numbers by the Met (they always have a problem with demonstration numbers - unless Tommy Robinson is at the front), and the social media whining of Reform fans, jack boot fans, Trump fans and their fellow travellers. The Press Association has again independently verified the organisers estimates.

A lot of feeder marches, and representatives from Plaid, SNP, Lib Dems, Greens, independents, the Labour left (plus Andy Burnham), with focuses on Palestine, climate, workers rights (masses of trade union and Trades Council banners), women's rights (mostly about reproductive rights now that Yaxley-Lennon and Reform are acting as a magnet for the US god squad), Iran War, migrants and against all forms of racism. Even the Church Of England had a contingent of over 1000 trying to reclaim their god from the racists and fascists!

The speeches in Whitehall were good (although Jerry Dammers rambled a bit), and the music on Whitehall and Trafalgar Square was very good.

Fast journey home via the A1 (the M1 was crawling) was a bonus.

                    Thanks for asking.

Re: Thick Far Right Idiot TV

Looked like the usual groups there, with the added crowd of supporters of the Iranian government, which I must say completely undermines any attempt to oppose authoritarianism or religious oppression.

Trafalgar Square looked, umm, fun. I do think there's some benefit in being joyous as a party but there's a risk for the Greens there in not looking serious. It also highlights an uneasy coalition, noting those gyrating on stage lacked some of the "doversity" of other parts of the march and Greens new found support.

I give them 6 months before their curve in the opinion polls starts to look a bit more like Reforms does at the moment.
